Using information for innovation
Protecting and exploiting its intellectual capital is paramount if a company is to maintain an innovative and competitive edge. There exist effective tools that are still under-exploited by companies: the use of strategic information and intellectual property management and valuation. The appropriation of these tools by companies and their implementation throughout the companies’ development must be improved. For this reason, we develop products and services with high value added within the fields of technology monitoring and intellectual property. We permanently improve or adopt methods and tools in order to provide companies and institutions with high-quality support in the fields of competitive intelligence and intellectual property management.
The Technology Watch Centre (CVT)
The CVT is a joint initiative of CRP Henri Tudor and the Ministry of the Economy and Foreign Trade. Our experienced team, which conducts its activities in the K2 annex building in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, is composed of 14 individuals of which 7 are research engineers and experts in the field of economic intelligence and 7 are experts and legal professionals in the field of intellectual property.
We work in collaboration with a large network of Luxembourgish and international partners. The CVT is also part of a consortium dedicated to the coordination of the IPR European Helpdesk where we apply our expertise in the production of content and are responsible for the establishment and maintenance of networks with the principal players within the field of intellectual property. We are a member of the network of patent information centres (PATLIB) of the European Patent Office (OEB). We also have privileged access to professional databases, namely with regard to patents, and we develop competitive intelligence solutions and tools for intellectual property monitoring and management.
The numerous competences that we have at our disposal with regard to intangible capital management, intellectual property valuation and within the area of economic intelligence allows us to support the innovation processes of our partners and clients, in guaranteeing them the perfect use of strategic information.
We communicate our research findings and develop products and services specific to all of the innovation programmes of CRP Henri Tudor.
Our investment for the future
In order to guarantee the success of our activities over the long term, we are investing in our competences and future fields of activity via an investment programme on the topic of “Economic Intelligence and Intellectual Property”. Through this programme, we will raise awareness and provide services designed to support companies seeking to improve their technical knowledge and overcome economic challenges.
