The upcoming European Risk Conference will put focus on the importance of risk management
CRP Henri Tudor will hold the 5th edition of the European Risk Conference on September 13 and 14, 2012. Organised in partnership with the European Risk Research Network (ERRN), this event will bring together professionals in the risk management sector and academics in the field to develop a state of the art and discuss current trends in the field.
A meeting place for international experts and the public, this event will facilitate the exchange of experiences and recommendations on risk management, quantitative and qualitative tools, and the presentation of case studies. A wide range of topics on accounting risk, whether financial or regarding management, will be covered.
On the agenda
The two days will be organised around plenary and parallel sessions, a business forum and a panel discussion. Plenary session speakers include international experts such as Regine Slagmulder, Professor at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, and Brian Singleton Green, Corporate Reporting Manager at ICAEW.
Six parallel sessions will give researchers the opportunity to present their work on topics related to risk and its management, as well as internal control and corporate governance. The best work of research from the 22 presentations will be awarded at the end of the conference.
The Business Forum will, in turn, bring together presentations from leading professionals in the field, in particular case studies by Damien Juan from Square Luxembourg, Marco Zwick from PRIM on risk in the fund industry, Anthony Kirby from Ernst & Young on risk management in asset management, and finally that of Brian Singleton Green from ICAEW, on risk reporting. This forum will be followed by a panel discussion bringing together academics and practitioners in the field.
Come and interact with the experts
Around 80 participants are expected to take part in the two-day event which aims to be a platform for meetings, exchange and debate among internationally-recognised researchers and industry professionals.
