Potential studies and scenario modelling for environmentally relevant processes
We develop and apply tools for the modelling and assessment of environmentally relevant processes such as fate and behaviour of pollutants in environmental compartments (water, air), environmental risk assessment, evaluation of resource availability (e.g. renewable energies). The offered services are:
- Environmental risk assessment for emerging pollutants, relying on models and innovative monitoring concepts, e.g. xenobiotics in the water cycle
- Integrated modelling and meta-modelling, coupling of technology, environment and economic models, in order to allow for integrated assessment of policies (e.g. air quality, energy infrastructures, noise) and provide decision support
- Development and implementation of integrated open-source geospatial software tools, including spatial and temporal modelling for scenario developments, Web interfaces for visualization and scenario analysis, data management and uncertainty analysis (e.g. integrated Geospatial Urban Energy Support and Information System (iGUESS).
